2008 Coggin City Championships
The First Coast Tennis Foundation is pleased to announce the Coggin Adult City Championships to be held at the beautiful Jacksonville Golf and Country Club July 25-27, 2008. This tournament would be not possible without the generous contribution of our title sponsor.
This is the Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year and allows us to fulfill our mission of “fitness and good health for everyone through tennis.” This year our Community Tennis program has grown to twelve sites and our foundation programs reach over 4,500 players annually. Our wheel chair program boasts over twenty weekly participants and in 2008/2009 we look to partner with the USTA and Duval county Schools in a pilot program getting middle school tennis started at several schools. Every dollar received goes to growing tennis on the First Coast.
This year’s event promises to be a great weekend. Food and drink for all player participants, singles and doubles for all levels with consolation in all events, player gifts, and division winner prizes. We will also build upon the success of last year’s raffle and silent auction with golf packages, tickets to professional tennis events, Sampras signed memorabilia, restaurant certificates, tennis lessons from Brian Gottfried and other local pros, as well as, tennis merchandise and gift baskets.
