First Coast Tennis Foundation (FCTF)
Definition
The First Coast Tennis Foundation (FCTF) is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 1995. It is recognized by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as the area's official Community Tennis Association. The goal of the FCTF is to make available to everyone in the First Coast area opportunities to learn and play tennis. The FCTF works in cooperation with USTA, the Northeast Florida Professional Tennis Association, First Coast area Parks and Recreation Departments, and First Coast area school systems.
Mission Statement
“The First Coast Tennis Foundation is dedicated to helping all First Coast residents achieve fitness and good health through tennis. Its goal is to make opportunities available for everyone in the First Coast area to learn and play tennis.”
The FCTF slogan is:
“Fitness and Good Health for Everyone Thru Tennis”

» Build the FCTF brand and increase awareness through marketing and advertising initiatives and Individual Board support and Introductions
» Increase tennis participation at all levels and all ages by increasing awareness and by utilizing various programs such as leagues, tournaments, lessons and special activities & events
» Generate revenues through grants, donations sponsorships and Board Introductions

REB Phillips (e-mail)
President
REB Phillips is the Head Tennis Professional at Selva Marina Country Club in Atlantic Beach and has been a USPTA level 1 professional for 13 years. As an active volunteer he has been on the FCTF board since 2002. REB has been on the USTA Florida Section Board of Directors, served as Recreation Council Tennis Chair for USTA Florida, has been a speaker at the USPTA Divisional Convention, and was name Jacksonville 2005 Professional of the Year.
He believes the continued development of the FCTF, as well as, partnering with the USTA and NFPTA is vital to the growth of Jacksonville tennis.

Interim Executive Director
Originally from Bangkok, Thailand. Toy has been playing tennis for over 40 years and teaching since 1973. He was ranking No. #2 (High School) in Thailand – 1973. Toy has also coached U.S. High School Boys Tennis Team in Vienna, Austria in June and U.S. High School Girls Tennis Team in Amsterdam, Holland in July, 2007. Toy also brings over 25 years experience in purchasing, negotiation and management skills from major Automotive Manufacturing Companies, such as Ford, General Motors and Volvo.

Toy believes that with his tennis and business experience would help the growth of FCTF. He is looking forward to expanding our community tennis programs into neighborhoods and parks throughout Jacksonville.

Junior Team Tennis Coordinator
Originally from New Orleans, Eric has been playing tennis for 28 years and teaching professionally for 15 years and is currently teaching at The Jacksonville Golf and CC. Eric was the head professional at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island for 6 years where he ran many usta tournaments and leagues. Eric has played in many usta leagues and tournaments and plans on using all his experience to grow Jr. team Tennis in Jacksonville. Eric has worked for many charitable organizations: YMCA of Florida’s First Coast, and the MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation for the support and growth of area tennis.
